Polymer Clay Inspirations

I had been designing jewelry using crystal, semi-precious stones, beads and pearls for about two years when I discovered the magical world of 'Polymer Clay'. This medium is extremely versatile and the possibilities are endless; I'm really excited to be working with polymer clay. The beads and pendants in my polymer clay jewelry designs are lovingly handcrafted by me and finished to a beautiful lustre. Calla Lily necklace

The technique for this lily is from Cindy Lietz http://www.beadvideos.com/video/049-1-large-calla-lily/  I  happened to come across this beautiful Calla Lily in this gorgeous rich color in the floral section of a store.  I can't remember the store but I decided I had to make one in that shade.  I experimented mixing clay colors until I had the right shade.  It turned out really pretty ; put it on these new necklace cords.

  1. Calla lily tied as a pendant that hangs from necklace. Three laces of Greek leather are interspersed with Tibetan yoni mala, green Czech glass, icing beads from India, cow bone, conch and ostrich shell. Copper toggle closure.
